Hi Vanessa and Congrats on being chosen as our August 2008 Demon Girl...


How did you get your start in Modeling?
 I never really had intentions on ever doing modeling,live commentary etc.  I always figured if it was meant to be it would seek me and luckily it did. I was spotted at a cafe at the ripe age of 15 and signed with 3 agencies in Miami Florida and made Miami my residence for quite some time.  One opportunity lead to another an here I am!  I truly feel that anyone can make there destiny happen and definitely encourage whether it be an aspring model or fighter to get out there and fight for there passion, it is what life is all about.


How did you get involved with Elite XC?
I went onto the proelite site and signed up for a ring girl of the year contest, however I believe unlike most applicants I wasn't trying to get chosen based on my pictures I wanted Elite XC to chose me as Ring girl of the year because of my passion but most importantly because of my respect to all the fighters out there that pour there heart and soul into the ring.  They are my inspiration.


I have read somewhere that you said Gina Carano is one of your favorite fighters. Tell us why you like her?
  Absolutely besides her beauty Gina posses great optimism in herself but also in her opponents ability which I believe keeps her grounded.  In watching her compete she is very determined and focused.  I believe that is a difficult task in itself to push your emotions to the side and focus on your mental and physical ability inside the ring.


You are obviously in great shape!
What is your workout routine like?  I believe it is not as much how hard your are training but how hard are you training your mind.... Truly if you believe in a healthy whole self your body will gravitate towards that way of life.  I work out about 3 times a week but I stay lean through my consumption of protein and lean foods not to mention I feel really great from these foods which gives me energy to want to work out.   It is all like everything in life a domino effect.


You also seem to be quite the world traveler.  What are some of your favorite places that you have been to?
I have been now half a dozen times to the Bahamas, I performed live commentary with fhmonline when the Atlantis Resort first opened the Cove and just recently went back there last month, I enjoy the tranquility of the beach and crashing waves not to mention there topless beaches help minimize the tan lines you know... (ha, ha)


I see that you have a new website, vanessawade.net in the works.  Can you tell us a little more about it?
The brains behind the Demon Factory Site is also my angelic source to this breath taking website. I became very fond of the owner of Demon Factory  and not just his beliefs of our fellow fighters but his knowledge of effective networking and his connections in the MMA world.  I knew I wanted to affiliate myself with this Demonfactory.com in the future much more than Demon Girl of the Month...


What's up and coming for Vanessa Wade in the future?
I hope to be doing live commentary here with you guys, I think that fighters and fans really need an outsource online that gives them audio and visual updates and news on whats happening in the fighting world. 
I'm hoping to take the position of the visual....hahah
